Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 14, 2026  ·  Last updated: June 14, 2026  ·  App: Syntergy (cloud.syntergy.app)

In short: Syntergy stores your gameplay progress and settings on your device. We do not collect, sell, or share your training data, session history, or cognitive profile with our servers. The app may show ads through Google AdMob, which can process limited device and usage data for ad delivery.

This Privacy Policy describes how Syntergy (“Syntergy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Syntergy mobile application and this website (collectively, the “Services”). We wrote this policy to be clear and accurate based on how the app actually works today.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services. For questions or to exercise your privacy rights, contact us at privacy@syntergy.cloud.

1. Who we are

Syntergy is a cognitive training application published under the package name cloud.syntergy.app. We are the data controller for information described in this policy as collected or processed by us directly.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • The Syntergy mobile app for Android (and iOS when available);
  • This marketing website at syntergy.cloud and related pages; and
  • Optional account features when API authentication is enabled in your app build.

Third-party services integrated into the app — particularly Google AdMob for advertising — process data under their own policies. We describe those integrations below.

3. Information we do not collect

We do not operate analytics, crash reporting, advertising attribution, or behavioral tracking SDKs inside Syntergy. Specifically, we do not:

  • Collect or upload your gameplay scores, level progress, session history, or cognitive profile to our servers;
  • Sell or rent your personal information;
  • Use your training data for targeted advertising or profiling by Syntergy;
  • Track you across other companies’ apps or websites for Syntergy’s own marketing purposes.

Your performance metrics, charts, streaks, and personal bests remain on your device unless you manually export or share them outside the app.

4. Information stored on your device

Syntergy uses local on-device storage (AsyncStorage on React Native) to provide core functionality. This data stays on your phone or tablet and is not transmitted to us by default.

Data category Examples Purpose
Game progress Maximum level per mini-game, global level counter, synaptic points Save your achievements and unlock progression
Session history Aggregated response times, session counts, activity heatmap inputs Power your local cognitive profile and charts
Preferences Theme (light/dark), language, audio mute, haptics, reduce motion Personalize the app experience
Onboarding state Walkthrough completion, optional tryout snapshot Guide first-time use
Auth session (local) Guest flag, access token (if signed in), auth gate completion Remember your sign-in choice on this device

You can reset all game progress and session history from the Profile screen in the app. Theme, language, and feedback preferences are kept unless you clear app data at the operating-system level.

5. Optional account sign-in

In some builds, optional authentication may be enabled (Google Sign-In or email and password). This feature is off by default in production builds unless explicitly configured. When you choose to create an account:

  • Email address and a hashed password (for email registration) are stored on our authentication backend to verify your identity;
  • For Google Sign-In, we receive and validate a Google ID token; we store the associated email address returned by Google;
  • We issue a session token (JWT) stored locally on your device for subsequent API requests.

Important: Even when signed in, your mini-game progress and cognitive dashboard data remain stored locally on your device. We do not currently sync gameplay data to our servers.

You may continue as a guest at any time. Guests use the app fully offline with no account data sent to us.

6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Syntergy is free to use and supported by advertising. We integrate Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) to display:

  • A banner advertisement on the home screen; and
  • Full-screen interstitial advertisements after every ten completed levels (across all games).

Ads can be disabled in development builds via the EXPO_PUBLIC_ADS_ENABLED=false configuration; in standard release builds, ads are enabled.

6.1 Consent (EEA, UK, and similar regions)

Where required by law, the app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request your consent before personalized advertising. You can accept, reject, or manage preferences through the consent form shown on first launch (or when regulations require re-consent).

6.2 Data processed by Google for ads

When ads are shown, Google may collect and process information such as:

  • Device identifiers (for example, advertising ID on Android);
  • IP address and coarse location derived from IP;
  • Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks); and
  • App and device metadata needed to deliver and measure ads.

This processing is performed by Google LLC as an independent data controller or processor (depending on your region and consent choices), not by Syntergy. We do not receive your raw advertising ID or a copy of Google’s ad targeting profile.

Learn more in Google’s policies:

  • Google Privacy Policy
  • AdMob & user data
  • Google Ad Settings (manage ad personalization)

On Android, you can also reset or limit your advertising ID in system settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).

7. This website

This static marketing site does not use cookies, analytics scripts, or embedded trackers. Standard web server logs (if any) maintained by your hosting provider may include IP address, browser type, and requested URL — we do not link those logs to your in-app activity.

8. Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on the following bases:

  • Contract / legitimate interest: Local storage of gameplay and preferences is necessary to provide the app you requested.
  • Consent: Personalized advertising via AdMob, where required, based on your UMP consent choices.
  • Legitimate interest: Non-personalized or limited ad delivery to fund the free app, where permitted without consent.
  • Contract: Account registration and authentication when you voluntarily sign in.

9. How long we keep information

  • On-device data: Retained until you reset progress in the app, uninstall the app, or clear app storage in your device settings.
  • Account data: Retained while your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting us; we will delete or anonymize account records within a reasonable period unless law requires retention.
  • Ad-related data: Governed by Google’s retention practices; see Google’s documentation.

10. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited cases:

  • Google (AdMob): For ad serving and measurement, as described in Section 6.
  • Google (Sign-In): When you choose Google authentication, Google processes your sign-in according to its own privacy policy.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and the Services.
  • Business transfers: If Syntergy is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may transfer subject to this policy or notice to you.

11. International transfers

If you use optional account features, authentication data may be processed on servers located outside your country. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.

Google may process ad-related data globally. Refer to Google’s documentation for transfer mechanisms.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Withdraw consent (for example, ad personalization via UMP or device settings);
  • Data portability, where applicable;
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

For Syntergy-controlled data, email privacy@syntergy.cloud. For AdMob-related processing, use Google’s tools linked in Section 6.2.

12.1 California (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by California law. AdMob may process identifiers for advertising; see Google’s disclosures. You may submit a verifiable request to know, delete, or correct account information we hold by contacting us.

13. Children’s privacy

Syntergy is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us account information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Where ad regulations require age-related treatment (for example, limited ad personalization for users in certain regions), Google’s UMP and platform policies apply.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account credentials on our backend (including password hashing for email accounts and token-based authentication). Local app data is protected by your device’s operating-system security. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app or legal requirements change. We will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes may be communicated in-app or on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
