Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 11, 2026  ·  Last updated: October 11, 2026  ·  App: Binaural Beats: Aura

In short: Aura keeps your streak, session credits, and Premium status on your phone. There is no account. We do not upload what you listen to. The free app can show rewarded ads from Google. Lifetime Premium is a one-time purchase through Google Play, confirmed by RevenueCat, and it turns those ads off.

This Privacy Policy describes how Syntergy Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Binaural Beats: Aura mobile application and the Aura pages on this website (together, the “Services”). It is written from how the app works.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services. Questions and privacy requests go to privacy@syntergy.cloud.

1. Who we are

Binaural Beats: Aura is a listening application published by Syntergy Labs under the Android package name cloud.syntergy.binauralbeatsaura. We are the controller for information this policy describes as processed by us. Google and RevenueCat process some information under their own policies, as described below.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • The Binaural Beats: Aura app for Android (and iOS when it is available); and
  • The Aura pages on syntergy.cloud, including this privacy policy.

It does not cover other Syntergy Labs apps. Those have their own policies.

3. Information we do not collect

Aura has no account, no sign-in, and no profile you create with us. We do not:

  • Ask for your name, email address, or phone number;
  • Upload the sessions you play, the frequencies you choose, or your streak to our servers;
  • Record audio, use the microphone, or access your photos, contacts, or location;
  • Run our own analytics or crash-reporting SDK inside the app;
  • Sell or rent your personal information.

4. Information stored on your device

The app uses on-device storage so it can remember a few things between launches. That data stays on the phone unless a third party described later receives something else.

Data What is stored Why
Mindfulness streak A day count and the last local calendar day you listened Show how many days in a row you have opened a session
Free-session credits How many session credits you have, and how many rewarded ads you have watched toward the next one Three ads earn one session. One credit starts one session
Premium cache Whether Lifetime Premium is active on this install Hide ads and unlock longer, custom sessions without waiting on the network

Language and appearance (English or Spanish, light, dark, or match the phone) are applied on the device. The app reads the device language to choose a default. Those choices are not sent to us.

Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in system settings removes the streak, credits, and the local Premium cache. A purchase can still be restored from the same store account.

5. Audio output on this phone

A binaural beat needs a different tone in each ear, so the app checks where audio is going: the phone speaker, wired headphones, Bluetooth, USB, or a hearing aid. When the system provides a product name for that output, the app shows it (for example, the headphone model) so you can confirm what you are hearing through.

That check happens on the device. We do not upload the device name, and we do not pair or scan for Bluetooth devices ourselves. If headphones disconnect during a session, playback pauses. You can choose to keep listening on the speaker. The channel test plays a generated tone in one ear. It does not record you.

6. Notifications and background playback

On Android 13 and later, the app asks permission to post notifications. The notification is a media control for the session that is playing: the session name and the two frequencies, with pause and stop. Audio can keep playing with the screen off through a media playback service that runs only while a session is active.

We do not use notifications for marketing, and the notification contents are not sent to us. You can deny or revoke the permission in system settings. Playback controls on the notification may then be unavailable.

7. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free app is supported by rewarded ads from Google AdMob. You watch three short ads to earn one session credit. Ads are not shown when Lifetime Premium is active.

7.1 Consent

Before ads are requested, the app uses Google’s consent form where the law requires a choice (including the EEA and the UK). You can accept, reject, or manage that choice. If ads cannot be requested, the app does not award a credit for them.

7.2 Data processed by Google for ads

When an ad is requested, Google may process information such as:

  • Advertising identifiers (the Android advertising ID, or the iOS identifier where you allow it);
  • IP address and a coarse location derived from it;
  • Ad interactions, such as whether an ad was shown or completed; and
  • App and device details needed to deliver and measure the ad.

Google handles that processing under its own terms. We do not receive your advertising ID or Google’s ad profile. On Android you can reset or limit the advertising ID in system settings.

  • Google Privacy Policy
  • How AdMob uses data
  • Google Ad Center

8. Lifetime Premium

Lifetime Premium is an optional one-time purchase. There is no subscription. It unlocks unlimited sessions, lengths up to 24 hours, custom frequencies, and removes rewarded ads.

Google Play processes the payment. We never receive your card number or billing address. RevenueCat confirms with the store that the cloud_syntergy_binauralbeats_pro entitlement is active, and keeps an anonymous app user id so the purchase can be restored. Settings opens RevenueCat’s Customer Center for restore and purchase support.

RevenueCat may process the anonymous id, purchase status, and technical data such as IP address and device type. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy and the Google Privacy Policy.

9. This website

The Aura pages on syntergy.cloud, including this policy, use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-GWBDG89WTP). Google may set cookies and process your IP address, browser, device, and the pages you view so we can see aggregate traffic. That measurement is separate from anything inside the app. We do not combine website visits with your listening.

You can block analytics cookies in your browser, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out. Hosting logs may also include IP address, browser type, and the URL requested. We do not use those logs to identify an app user.

10. Legal bases (EEA / UK)

Where the GDPR applies:

  • Contract, or legitimate interests in providing the app you installed: on-device streak, credits, and the Premium cache; reading the audio output so the beat can play; the playback notification.
  • Consent: personalized ads, where Google’s form asks for a choice, and analytics cookies where consent is required.
  • Legitimate interests: limited rewarded ads that fund the free app, where the law allows them without consent.
  • Contract: the optional Lifetime Premium purchase.

11. How long information is kept

  • On the phone: until you uninstall Aura or clear its storage.
  • Purchases: Google Play keeps the receipt so you can restore Premium. RevenueCat keeps the entitlement record under its own retention rules. The phone keeps a local flag so ads stay off.
  • Ads and website analytics: kept by Google under Google’s policies.

12. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only as follows:

  • Google (AdMob): to request and measure rewarded ads (Section 7).
  • Google Play: to process and restore Lifetime Premium (Section 8).
  • RevenueCat: to confirm that entitlement and offer restore and support (Section 8).
  • Google Analytics: to measure visits to these website pages (Section 9).
  • Law: if a law, regulation, or legal process requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the Services.
  • A business transfer: if Syntergy Labs is part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy or notice to you.

13. International transfers

We do not run our own servers for Aura listening data. Google and RevenueCat may process ad, analytics, and purchase data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Their safeguards are described in the policies linked above.

14. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Withdraw consent for personalized ads or for analytics cookies;
  • Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

On-device data is in your hands: clear the app’s storage or uninstall it. For ads, use the Google tools in Section 7. For the purchase, use Google Play and the Customer Center in the app. For anything we control, email privacy@syntergy.cloud.

14.1 California (CCPA / CPRA)

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising of our own. AdMob may process advertising identifiers to show ads. You may ask us what we hold and ask us to delete it. Because Aura has no account, the data we can reach is limited to what this policy describes as ours.

15. Children’s privacy

Aura is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age required where you live). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

16. Security

Local app data is protected by your device’s own security. Purchases are handled by Google Play and RevenueCat. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.

17. Changes

We will update this policy when the app or the law changes, and we will change the “Last updated” date above. If a change is significant, we will also say so in the app or on this page.
